Buried treasure, sword fights, sailing the open seas…just some of the things that make pirates of old so fascinating. Our Vacation Bible School this week at my church, lakeside baptist where i am the current Youth/Children’s Minister, has the theme High Seas, with pirates and adventure!! As the director and main character on deck, “Cap’t Jolly Rancher”, it is going to be an exciting week…but it will take me out of the real estate office here at Eagle Realty for most of the week as well.
So thinking of pirates, it automatically made me think, “what type of a vacation house would a pirate buy?” Ocean front in north myrtle beach? or maybe a nice home or condo on the waterway in Little River where he could park is boat…? Summer colds just are no fun, and mean at least in winter you can curl up in bed, under covers, enjoy some hot soup and bundle up to at least let the coziness trick your sub-concious into feeling better…summer time isn’t for any of that!! The congestion, nose blowing, headaches just are a nuisance when its 100 degrees outside. And they never seem to go away…i have been battling this thing since last Wednesday, and my ears still feel like they are clogged with maple syrup…or any kind of syrup, just partial to maple.

Well, in my delirious state i just realized it was Friday. Summer colds are never good, especially with a 3 1/2 month old and son around the house, and 2 parents with full time jobs…just a nuisance when you get sick. As i laid passed out most of the night and my beautiful wife taking care of the kids…the thought crossed my mind “i wish i didn’t have yard work”. I mean cleaning up after the dogs, mowing the grass, trimming the hedges, general look of the property. And it occurred to me that when I was in my condo living days, I didn’t…and the same goes for townhomes for the most part. Why be burdened with the work…now some of you like yard work, so this BLOG is not for you…i have plenty of houses to sell you…BUT for all my non-yard work people, listen up!

Decision is made, and Miami is sporting a 3 headed monster of talent in their front court – reminds me of when Boston landed the the “boston 3 party” as ESPN named it. Honestly, if Miami doesn’t win a championship out the gate it would be the epitome of irony. Now, not that i am in favor of the decision at all (i am born and bread in Chicago, now that would have been a heck of a team with Lebron added to the roster for 2010-11 season.), but seriously, a basketball power in a football state just looses that basketball feel to me. Grew up in my school years in KY ( a true basketball state) and heading to the gym on a snow day just made sense. Florida just doesn’t scream – BASKETBALL to me, but oh well…the bigger point is this…with the Florida real estate market – Lebron James needs to buy a 2nd home in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Lebron…the deflated market and roller coaster values still leaves Florida the most turmoiled real estate state in the union…Plus look at teh Hurricane prone coast you are living on! North Myrtle Beach on the other hand, Golf, Beaches, less crowds, better climate, peaceful, great value, and low percentage of major storms making land fall!! All i am saying Lebron is check us out at Eagle Realty to help you find a nice little vacation home in somewhere like Grande Dunes Myrtle Beach or Barefoot Resorts in North Myrtle Beach…a great opportunity that doesn’t loose you any fan base!
