The last horrah of summer is only 2 days away!  But does that mean its time to stop looking??? On the contrary, its the perfect time to buy!  In fact i was on city-data.com today and its a great site to get stats on any city (or you can use zip code) in the country.  Housing price and sales trends, population, and other demographics.  I was looking at the myrtle beach area and Brunswich Coutny like calabash and surrounding areas in NC & SC.  Buyers, you need to be buying now with the floor in price levels here (before it starts trending upward again in 2009).  And sellers, if you bought in 2004 or earlyer, what a great time to sell and upgrade to a better property!!  Let Eagle Realty help and we look forward to working with you soon!

Summer Winding Down, Sales Pick Up?

School is about to come back in session locally here in the myrtle beach area, and summer is coming to a close once again (though the weather will disagree for a while i would say).  Historically, early fall is a good time to buy some real estate here on the coastal area.  After all the summer properties get out of their busy rental season there is a little surge in inventory which means price negotiations work out to a buyers favor.  Alot of people will say wait till winter when sellers are really desperate, but if they have a good realtor they have probably pulled their unit off the market for winter depending on their situation because they know there will be limited activity which means buyers in the winter months typically have less inventory to choose from.  Rates are creeping upward so we do have an urgent situation...if you can buy, buy now to lock in some historically low rates.  Find a good Realtor at Eagle Realty www.EagleRealtySC.com to show you the way to your perfect property...

Fed Leaves Rate Unchanged

stable...let's look at the possible ramifications of not lowering key interest rates again.  Battle inflation...good.  Bring stability to our market where everyone is waitin for a "floor" in all aspects...good.  Keep banks from hiking up the mortgage rate to keep from losing more money...good.  All in all, this comes back to a confidence issue that all buyers need to see.  Now is a time to buy and you beeter buy if you have been wanting to because the bus is about to turn around and head in the vertical, climbing direction.  Ask your local Eagle Realty Realtor how we can help...

Vacation and Retreats Needed

Hi, this is Chris Ward BIC/Owner of Eagle Realty...i have been out of town this last week.  Now most assume vacation, but to be honest, it was far from a vacation.  Now maybe the state of mind was in that mode, but as a part time youth minister, a mission trip with 13 teenage youth to Florida is kinda far from a relaxing vacation...now dont get me wrong, i LOVED THE TRIP!!  But, lets be honest, a vacation it was not.
Of course that brings a point up about vacation...this summer has been hurt significantly in the Myrtle Beach area when it comes to vacation traffic.  Being a drive in destination, gas prices have hit hard our tourist traffic.  While we are busy on the weekends some, our week long vacationers have slowed alot...and gas doesnt seem to be the only factor.  People just dont like escaping from work or activities for a lengthy time anymore.  Time is a higher priced commodity than anything else now adays it seems.  What we do with our time is important...lets make sure we use it wisely cause we can never get it back...and a vacation or retreat can be very wise in our fast paced world!

Now how can the real estate market be down with the highest ever single-family residential sale in the country?? Donal Trumps home in West Palm Beach (or should i say estate) closes at $100 million dollars.  I have seen the estate up close and personal and what a beauty.  In comparison, why spend that kind of money when in Myrtle Beach, SC  Eagle Realty can get you ocean front for under $1,500,000 (or much less for a condo)*  The best deals on the Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach, look for the Eagle, Eagle Realty.  You need local experts who know the area and can help you find the best property for you or sell your current home.  Call or email Eagle Realty today!!
